Position:   Systems Integration Engineer
 Location:  Danbury, CT

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Integration Engineer to join the Product Engineering team. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates efforts of multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams to execute system level engineering changes to fuel cell power plant designs
  • Updates and maintains plant design & fabrication documentation. 
  • Improves accuracy and completeness of product documentation package.
  • Prepares and processes Engineering Change Orders
  • Conducts detailed design reviews and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Leads or supports root cause investigation of equipment or component failures within the fleet
  • Lead efforts to reduce product costs
  • Works closely with both external and internal organizations (R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, etc.) to achieve program goals
  • Supports fabrication, installation, operation, and corrective actions for power plants
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:  BS Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) or Electrical Engineering 
Experience: 3 to 7 years of progressive experience in a high tech product design environment, preferably in a make to order or engineered product. ISO9001 background a plus.        Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus 
Candidate must have/be knowledgeable in:
  • High temperature equipment, insulation design, basic piping design and skidded / packaged mechanical process equipment
  • A demonstrated success in coordinating multi-discipline engineering and design teams while maintaining aggressive schedules
  • Reading and understanding detailed part and assembly drawings, Piping & Instrument Drawings and Piping Isometrics
  • Detail-oriented problem solving skills with initiative to take on responsibility and follow through
  • Ability to interface with outside vendors and fabrication shops
  • Manage Engineering Change Control and formal document management processes
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), System Reliability Modeling, and Value Engineering Methods
  • Experience with Auto-CAD software. Autodesk Inventor software desired.  FEA and/or CFD software is a plus
  • Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel and Piping Codes is a plus

 Physical Requirements/Working Conditions 
  • Must be able to work physically in a sedentary office environment on computer equipment and attend meetings in various areas throughout the buildings as required
  • May be required personal protective equipment as designated when required to perform occasional field work. This will involve climbing ladders to perform inspections
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the year
  • Must to able to successfully obtain and keep a Passport for international travel
